My name is Brianda T. Stegman. I graduated from Kansas State University in Apparel and Textile Design. My focus area during school was Women's Eveningwear and Bridalwear. The idea of transforming the everyday mother, wife, and career woman into royalty is what inspires my designs. Subtle design details set my designs apart from other designers. Stylelines and fabric manipulation are just a couple of ways I work subtle details into my designs. Through my work experience and education I have gained many key skills. I have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office. I also have 9+ years of sewing experience, and the ability to forecast and understand trends.
A Time Not Far Gone | 2016
A Time Not Far Gone was inspired by the Industrial Age. A time that was so significant in American History. It was the start of what we know America as today. The idea was to showcase that even though it was many decades ago, our society seems to return to those ideals to this day. You'll notice the color scheme is black and white to mimic the photographs taken during that time.
Lillian
Lillian was inspired by the steel of the Industrial Age you will see metal zipper pulls hanging off the V-Neck. There is also metal chain trimming lining the top and bottom of the waistband.
Madison
The Madison dress showcases a popular neckline from the Industrial Age with a modern flare. On the shoulder straps you'll see the same zipper pulls that are a staple across the entire collection. The darts on the bodice mimic industrial lines seen in steel buildings.
Gemma
My Gemma dress is a personal favorite. With box pleats around the entire skirt it gives a full and playful look. The zipper pulls are showcased on every other pleat creating a fun game to find where they are. The pleats playing across the front of the bodice mimic more steel buildings of the time. You'll also find fun printed binding across the top and flash of it under the skirt.
Sophia
Sophia is a halter dress that uses chains to hook around the neck giving more fun metal accents to the collection. Around the waistband you'll also find the same chain piping on the top and bottom that have been shown on other dresses in the collection.
